Travellers: Caitlin & Lara
My friend Lara had lived in Santiago for a year and was headed back to visit, so I tagged along. Lara planned a great trip based in Santiago, where she still had some friends living, with excursions to Pucón to see a volcano and to Valparaíso to see all the public art. Everywhere was beautiful and mountainous, and the people were some of the nicest people I've met in travels.
Santiago
Santiago was our home base, where we saw La Moneda, Cerro San Cristóbal, and the Estadio Nacional, and wandered around.
Pucón
In Pucón, we climbed to the top of Volcan Villarica, an active volcano.
Valparaíso
Valparaíso is a town with a Bohemian vibe, known for its beautiful murals.
Day Trips
We briefly visited Farellones, Concón, and Rancagua - all short drives from other places we stayed.
