San Pedro | Caye Caulker | Carnaval | Snorkel

Travellers: Deb, Cindy, John, Kerin, Mike, Caitlin, Kevin, Morgane

Having decided that we needed a little sun and ocean, the Van Orts, Charleses, and Rigneys ventured to San Pedro and Caye Caulker in Belize. Most of the week was spent relaxing at the beach, but we also snorkeled and dove, explored the city, and caught the end of the Carnaval festival.

San Pedro

We stayed in San Pedro for our week in Belize and while we weren't relaxing on the beach, we were absorbing the local culture and tasting the local cuisine.

Caye Caulker

John and Cindy took a day trip to Caye Caulker where they got to see the Pineapple Palapa and famous "Split".

Carnaval

We were lucky enough to experience the final day of the week-long Carnaval festival: a big party where you get covered in paint.

Under the Sea

While snorkeling and diving, we saw a huge variety of underwater wildlife, including the famous nurse sharks and rays of Hol Chan Marine Reserve.
